Personal Description: I am a driven, patient, highly competent self-starter. With broad exposure across the breadth of IT roles in a variety of industries, I am then able to bring this knowledge and understanding to whatever challenge is ahead.

My true passion as a technologist with the ability to use and quickly adapt to new IT / IS to solve problems, working effectively with people from end users to the decision makers, regardless of their level of involvement with and understanding of IT. I also welcome and thrive on new challenges; and also adaptable, flexible, a team player and I have a strong desire to succeed and deliver results within deadlines.

Training Experience: For the past year or two now, I have been working for an IT consultancy based in Pontypridd which covers clients based all over the UK in all aspects of IT. During this time I have had to manage multi server environments (windows + Linux) including rapid problem solving to decrease down time. As new operating systems are released (e.g. Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010) and business are migrating towards it, I’ve had to teach client employee’s efficiently also including print outs. More advanced teaching I’ve done is teaching people how to use Operating system remote deployment and virtualisation scenarios and implementations.

Another would be moving onto IP telephony; Showing people how to use the latest technologies e.g. new IP (VoIP (same technology as **Contact Detail Removed** uses)) telephone handsets and any other new technologies that emerge. I have also given lessons on programing different languages including web programming and normal application packages. This is just the tip of the ice berg.


I have tutored several clients in the past of varying ages in different levels of difficulty and they have all felt that they have benefitted from my tutoring skills.

Training Approach: I tend to lean towards the simple and effective approach similar to that of a presentation;
You start off by explaining what we will be covering, followed by the actual tutoring session. Then finally finishing off by summarizing what we have just covered and why. By allowing both sides to agree on the content beforehand will avoid wasting each one another time.

I could also produce slides / printouts including screenshots and screen recordings which i find invaluable myself while undertaking a new problem.

With the use of all the IT equipment (including web/linux + windows servers) at my disposal, I believe I'll be able to tutor effective and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• BSc (+Hons) in Computer Science
• A-Level : Electronics, Physics and ICT/IT
• Currently Studying for a Microsoft Certification IT Professional: Enterprise Administrator
• and a Cisco Certification Network Administrator (both highly praised in the IT profession)
